Lachine Maintenance Centre

Directly connected to the Lucien-L’Allier train station, the terminating station for the Candiac, Saint-Jérôme, and Vaudreuil-Hudson lines, the Lachine Maintenance Centre is built on the site of the former Sortin yard, which was operated for many years by Canadian Pacific (CP)..

Since the end of 2015, this 13-hectare site has accommodated in state-of-the-art facilities the commuter train fleet that runs on the CP network. The site includes:

  • A parking area for 13 trains in an exterior garage
  • An inspection shop for a full 10-car train and and one locomotive
  • A major repair shop for two locomotives and two cars
  • A 35-ton retractable bridge
